What data we collect and why

We only collect personal data that you provide yourself, or that is necessary for the operation of the service you are using:

• Contact form (on the homepage) — name, email, organisation and message content. Purpose: responding to your enquiry. Submissions are received via Netlify Forms.
• Partner programme (/trzniki/) — when a new lead is registered, we collect the partner's email, organisation name and country, and a contact person. Purpose: managing the partnership and commission programme.
• AI chat assistant (/trzniki/) — the content of your message and your IP address are sent to a third-party AI service provider to generate a response (see External providers below). The IP address, language and message length are logged short-term (within the same day) solely to prevent abuse of the service (rate limiting).
• Partner portal — your personal access code is stored only in your browser's session storage during login, not in a cookie. It is automatically deleted when you log out or close the tab.

Cookies

hopguides.art does not use tracking or analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar visitor-tracking tools.

External providers

To operate the website we use the following external providers, which may process your IP address or other technical data as part of their service:

• Netlify, Inc. (USA) — website hosting, forms, serverless functions and database.
• OpenRouter (USA) — processes AI chat message content; receives your message content and IP address at the time of the query.
• Google Fonts — loading web fonts; your browser sends your IP address to Google when fonts are loaded.
• Cloudflare (R2) — hosting of video and image files; publicly accessible files, no personal data.
• jsdelivr / Fastly — delivery of JavaScript animation libraries (GSAP, Lenis).

International data transfers

Because Netlify and OpenRouter operate in the USA, your data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers are based on Standard Contractual Clauses or other appropriate safeguards as required by the GDPR.

Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for, or for the duration of the business relationship. Data used to prevent abuse of the AI assistant (IP address, message length) is retained short-term, within a single day. You may request earlier deletion at any time — see Your rights below.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

• access your personal data,
• rectify inaccurate data,
• erasure ("right to be forgotten"),
• restrict processing,
• object to processing,
• data portability.

You can send a request at any time to info@hopguides.art. If you believe your data has not been processed lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia.

Data security

We process data using appropriate technical and organisational measures. Data transfer between your browser and the website is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to internal systems is limited to individuals who need the data to perform their work.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the last change is shown at the top of the page. We will notify you of significant changes where appropriate.
